Hudson Cliff
This space is a modern reflection of Hudson Valley living, where contemporary design harmoniously meets natural influences and vibrant accents. I wanted to create an open layout that fosters a sense of flow and connection by incorporating a wooden slat partition that gently separates the dining and living areas. This design choice allows for a seamless indoor-outdoor experience, while also letting light and air move freely through the space. To bring the essence of the Hudson Valley into the design, I drew inspiration from the area's ever-changing seasons, using a rich color palette of sunny yellows, deep greens, and earthy oranges, balanced by neutral walls and floors to maintain a grounded, cohesive atmosphere.
The furniture selection was carefully curated to combine both style and function. A mid-century modern dining set anchors the space, while a cozy gray sectional, paired with green accent chairs, invites comfort and relaxation. The use of wood in both the furniture and slatted partition brings warmth, while modern materials like glossy flooring add a touch of contemporary elegance. The result is a space that blends the warmth and vibrancy of the Hudson Valley with a modern sensibility, creating a stylish and inviting home that feels connected to its environment.
