Jersey Primary Suite
The homeowners embarked on a renovation of their primary bedroom, elevating the ceiling height, refinishing the floors, and reconfiguring the layout of their closet and bathroom. The redesign was conceptualized and led by one of the homeowners, with the construction completed by their contractor. Once the remodel was finished, I was brought in to assist with color selection, furniture layout, and styling for the pieces they had already purchased, as well as sourcing remaining furnishings to complete the space. Key furniture items, including the bed frame, bedside dressers, and a large wardrobe dresser, were already chosen before my involvement.
To support their vision, I provided a 3D rendering of the primary suite, along with two layout options that aligned with their furniture, room configuration, functional needs, and style preferences. The rendering included updated room colors and trim styles that complemented the light oak finishes of their furniture and floors, as well as the tone of their tufted velvet king bed. My role in this project was to act as a visual guide and stylist, helping the homeowner—who is actively involved in sourcing furnishings—bring her ideas to life. The room transformation remains a work in progress due to challenges with furniture availability, costs, and shipping delays, but the collaboration continues to move the project closer to completion.
